Broadcast – College Football
With college football set to begin, I’ll bet you’re feeling conflicted. You can’t wait to see if the Buckeyes can repeat as National Champions or if Oregon can replace Marcus Mariota.
You also recognize the concept of real students playing these games is a façade. The hard truth is most of these guys wouldn’t be pursuing higher learning if they weren’t stars on the field. Many are just plain thugs. At Florida State, punching women must be a preseason drill, since several players have been caught doing it. And sexual assault is likely in the Tennessee playbook because six “Volunteers” have been charged with it. There are currently dozens of federal investigations into sex crimes by our “beloved” student athletes.
I’m excited for the opening kickoff, too. But, let’s not kid ourselves. These guys are only on campus to perform on Saturday afternoons.
