Broadcast – Affirmative Action

Liberal activists love affirmative action. They justify it with fancy language about the need for a diverse workforce. But, the hard truth is affirmative action is nothing more than discrimination.

Here’s something you didn’t know: During my time at Cincinnati’s City Hall, council members often criticized department heads for not giving more work to minority and female owned businesses. Managers were constantly pressured to award contracts not based on the quality or the competitiveness of the services provided, but on the race or gender of the provider.

Colleges justify racial preferences in admissions by claiming it allows them to “assemble a student body that brings the educational benefits of diversity for all students.” The U.S. Supreme Court has now agreed to decide whether these practices violate the constitution. I’m hoping they put a stop to affirmative action once and for all.
