The government once threatened the Boy Scouts for delivering Christmas cards! So much for the holiday spirit.
The Post Office is the largest employer in the country next to Wal-Mart. Its workers, the highest paid semi-skilled workers in America, are represented by powerful unions. Unions no President or Congressman will cross.
Even socialist countries like Finland and Russia have stepped back from government control of mail service. How can a so-called free country, like ours, continue to maintain it?
